Effective: 16 May 2026
This policy covers the website at vl-studios.com and the VL Studio desktop application. "We," "us," and "our" refer to Verus Lux Studios, a sole-proprietor software studio in St. Petersburg, Florida. "You" means anyone visiting our website or using our app.
Nothing personal. The website doesn't use cookies, doesn't run analytics, and doesn't embed tracking pixels. There's nothing on this page reporting your visit back to us.
Two things happen automatically that we want you to know about:
If you contact us by email (info@vl-studios.com), we receive your email address and whatever you sent us. We use it to reply. We don't add you to a mailing list unless you explicitly ask to be added.
Nothing leaves your computer without your action. VL Studio stores its data — your presets, songs, setlists, lyrics, settings, and AI Skills — locally on your machine. The app doesn't phone home, doesn't send telemetry, and doesn't include analytics.
If you use the in-app AI chat assistant with your own API key (for Claude, Gemini, OpenAI, Mistral, Grok, or another OpenAI-compatible provider), your prompts and the context you've authorized the assistant to use are sent directly from your computer to the provider you chose, using credentials you supplied. We are not in that loop. Your API keys never leave your machine. Refer to your chosen provider's privacy policy for how they handle the data they receive.
If you run the AI assistant against a local model (Ollama, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint on your own machine or network), no data leaves your machine at all.
When you connect your TC-Helicon VL3X device, the app speaks to it locally over USB MIDI. No internet connection is involved.
This site does not set cookies. If we ever need to (for example, to remember a chosen theme or language across visits), we'll use only first-party, strictly-necessary cookies and update this policy to say so. We will never use cookies for analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking.
None. Ever. Because we collect no personal data, there is nothing to sell or share. If that ever changes, this policy will change first, with prominent notice and a meaningful effective date — not a retroactive footnote.
VL Studio is a professional audio tool not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone — see Section 02 — but we mention this for clarity. If you believe a child has somehow sent us information, please email us and we'll delete it.
Because we don't collect personal data, there's no data of yours to access, correct, export, or delete. If you've emailed us, you can ask us to delete that email correspondence at any time and we will.
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top and post the new version at this URL. Substantive changes — the kind that affect what data we collect or how we use it — will be summarized prominently.
